Marrakech to Marrakech desert tour 11 days / 10 nights

Day 1: Marrakech city – Telouet – Ouarzazate

On our first day and after breakfast, we’re going to start our trip driving to Telouet village via Atlas Mountain traversing TiziNtichka. We’re going to pass through by Pacha Glaoui Kasbah in Telouet where we’ll have lunch break in Afternoon. After that, we’re going to drive to Ait-Ben-Haddou via the attractive Ounila valley with its Berber towns. Then, we’re going to continue our excursion to Ouarzazate. (Dinner/overnight at the hotel).

Day 2: Ouarzazate city – Skoura – Kelaa Ma’gouna – Gole Di Dades – Gole Di Todra

On the second day we’re going to move from Ouarzazatan to Skoura, where we’re going to visit most marvel in southern road of kasbahs. Later on, we’re going to carry on in our journey passing by the Roses-Valley which is 50km road to reach Kasbah Ait Youl. Next, we have a lunch break time on top of Dades-Gorges. Then, we drive to Boulmane Passing by Tinghir where we can watch panoramic views. Dinner and overnight time in hotel.

Day 3: Gole Di Todra – Tinjdad town – Touroug – Erfoud – Merzouga

In our third day and after breakfast, we’re going to drive to Tinjedad town and have lunch there.  Later, we’re going to visit the superb Touroug Palm Plantations. Then, we’re going to Erfoud to visit local old fossil craft workshops. And carry on to the attractive dunes of Erg- Chebbi, Dunes of Merzouga. And before the sunset, we’re going to ride camels through the dunes enjoying the beautiful sunset there. Dinner & spend overnight on a good nomad tent.

Day 4: Merzouga town – Khamlia – Taouz – Ouzina – Ramlia – Mharch

In the next fourth day and in the early morning, we will get the chance to watch appreciate the beautiful sunrise. After that we go back on camels back to the hotel, in order to take the breakfast and get ready for the next part in your journey. We’re going to leave to Khamlia hamlet (which is famous with its fantastic music in the desert). Then, we’ll have a Moroccan tea break at Gnawa house. Next, we head to Taouz town. Afterward, we’ll go to Ziz Wadi moving by a small village lost in Ouzina desert. Then, we will have lunch break in Ramlia, crossing a very soft san of Wadi Rheris path between mountains that leads to M’harch. Dinner and overnight at your accommodation.

Day 5: Mharch – Zagora

On the fifth day and after your breakfast, we will drive together to Zagora by the road of Paris-Dakar. Also we will pass by a unique desert plates, seeing nomads under Berber tent. We will spend the day and the overnight in Zagora.

Day 6: Zagora – Tamgroute – Mhamid – Erg Chegaga

On the next day and after the breakfast, we will head to Tamegroute town and visit an old Quranic library “Zaouïa”, craftsmen of pottery and Kasbah. Afterward, we’ll carry our way to Ma-hamid where we’ll have lunch together. In the afternoon, we’ll drive by a road that carries along the dunes of cheguagua and watch the unique sunset there.

Day 7: Erg Chegaga – Foum Zguid – Taznakhte –Taliouine-Ouarzazate

The next seventh day, we will wake up early in the morning to not miss the wonderful sunrise on dunes. After the breakfast, we will start our day trip driving to Zguit moving by simple and original Berber nomadic tent, dry lake of Iriqui and desert plates filled with a Kassia plants. Then we will have a tasty Moroccan lunch. Later, we will carry our way to Ouarzazate town via Taznakhte. Dinner and overnight in hotel.

Day 8: Taliouine village – Taroudant town – Tiout

On the next day, we will visit the old capital of Sous region “Taroudant” that is surrounded by beautiful walls of clay, nice colored copper, gardens of olive and orchards. Besides, we’re going to visit its nice Souk to discover its local handicrafts, and you can buy leather carpets, jewelry and pottery if you love to. Afterward, we will visit a Berber market, where we can find chiefly food, Moroccan spices and fresh vegetables in addition to weaving textiles and different other merchandise. Also, we’ll have lunch, and after we will carry in our way towards Tiout, a valley of palms inside an incredible mountain area of Anti-Atlas.

Day 9: Tiout – Agadir – Essaouira

On the next ninth day, we will drive to Atlantic seaside through small villages of “Souss”. We’ll head to Agadir city that is established by Portuguese seaman in 1505. We’re going together to have a delicious lunch in a local seaside town. Next, we’ll drive to Essauira city that is most populated by Jews. We’re going to discover many interesting places as; Mellah district, where they were businesses before. Essauira city is huge heritage site and one of the most fascinating city in Morocco. Besides, it is very famous by Gnawa music and Festivals which are always organized in June every year.

 

Day 10: Essaouira city

Our interesting journey isn’t finished yet. On the tenth day we’re going to explore the charming city “Essaouira”. We’re going to discover Kasbah, enriched citadel caring harbor, a structure protected by crenellated walls on which are guns of Spanish in17th. We will have lunch time at port. After that, we’ll walk together in the streets where we find many laboratories of marquetry (ebony and cedar). Later, we’ll visit Museum Sidi Mohammed ben Abdallah devoted to regional traditions and arts with a description of musical instruments, carpets, jewelries, weapons, painted woods and reproductions of drawings made by Moroccan henna. That is used in official ceremonies and festivals. We’re also going to stroll on marina. Dinner and overnight at your accommodation.

Day 11: Essaouira – Marrakech

On our last journey day, we’ll head to Essauira and head to Marrakech. You will like the agriculture of Argan trees, and we will stop at a cooperative of Argan oil. (Women who work in cooperative will show tourists oil processing products that extract, natural beauty products). Then, we’re having lunch meal in Marrakech. In the afternoon you’ll be free for shopping or relaxation. Night in your Riad at Marrakech.
